Seems like everybody is talking about the Law of Attraction these days. You get back what you send out… What goes around, comes around… Sowing and reaping… Karma… you get the drift.
So many people come to me wanting to increase their income; their wealth, the bottom line… and that’s awesome! I’ve helped boat loads of people shift their thoughts, their words, and even their foundational belief system about ‘money’. And, it truly works! Yet, in the back of my mind I’ve always felt that there’s something that seems to be forgotten in so many of the Law of Attraction circles. I kept having this feeling that there was something missing (something REALLY important!). And then one day… you guessed it, like a ton of bricks, It Hit Me!
I was ‘working on’ my own wealth; my own prosperity… I wanted to increase my financial bottom line, when it occurred to me, although I really do want more of the green stuff… what I REALLY want is to add value to people’s lives. And so, I began to change my focus from ‘ME getting money’ to ‘being a catalyst for empowering others.’ This one small shift in focus was the ‘about face’ I needed! It changed everything! I felt better… even about wanting to be wealthier. It took away truck-loads of guilt and self-indulgent feelings, and put me on the fast track to inspiration and productivity!
THE INVITATION
Instead of just sending out ‘get rich vibes’ how about taking a look at the current ‘value’ you add to your clients, customers, family, friends, community, etc. Next, how can you give even more benefit? As an example, let’s say you want to add $50,000 to your income this year. Instead of trying to manifest it… why not invest in some ‘play time’ imagining that you can add this much value to the lives of those you touch. And to REALLY make this easy, what if you could do this easily and effortlessly? It seems that the things that come naturally to us (and maybe not so easily for others) can be the key to unlock a greater purpose (maybe even our Life’s’ Mission!)
It shifts the focus from ‘what can I get’ to ‘how can I serve’. That’s the difference.
And, isn’t that what the Law of Attraction is all about.
“As you give, so shall you receive.”
